We’re looking for a strategic and people-focused leader to step into the role of Parking Operations Manager—a position that plays a vital role in how people experience our city. From overseeing modern car park facilities and on-street patrols to driving service excellence, innovation, and compliance, you’ll lead a dedicated team and shape the delivery of efficient, accessible, and customer-oriented parking services that keep our city moving.
The Opportunity
As the Parking Operations Manager in the City of Perth, you will be responsible for leading and managing the City’s Parking Operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and customer-focused services. This includes the effective operation of car park facilities, street patrols (providing both information and enforcement), infringement processing, and associated financial management.
The role requires strong leadership of a multi-disciplinary team, with accountability for both the quality and timeliness of services provided. In addition, the Parking Operations Manager plays a key role in supporting senior management and executive leadership by delivering expert parking-related advice to inform strategic planning and data-driven decision-making across the City.
Reporting to the Alliance Manager within our Parking Services team, your responsibilities would primarily include:
- Set clear objectives, track performance, and provide coaching, mentoring and development opportunities to the Parking Services Operational teams to ensure effective delivery of tasks;
- Develop in conjunction with the Alliance Manager the Parking Business Plan to deliver against the objectives of the Commercial Services Alliance and the City’s Strategic Community Plan;
- Serve as the primary liaison for parking management for events, representing the City to both internal and external stakeholders; and
- Improve the operational systems, processes, and policies in support of improving reporting, information flow, management, business process and organisational planning.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- Demonstrated extensive and diverse experience in managing operations;
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans;
- Thorough knowledge of Work Health & Safety principles which enables a proactive approach; and
- Excellent organisational skills and judgment, including an ability to work on multiple projects, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines despite competing priorities.

Eligibility

- A current ‘C’ class Australian drivers licence; and
- A satisfactory National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months).
