About the role

Maitland is one of the fastest growing regional LGAs in NSW and our waste services are experiencing continued growth meaning we are looking for another skilled Waste Services Operator to join our experienced team on a six-month temporary basis.

As the Waste Services Operator, you will undertake general waste collection and labouring duties, operation of plant and side-loading waste collection vehicles as well as deliver excellent customer service at the weighbridge, gatehouse and to the broader community.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will:

· Have a current HR licence.

· Have experience in the operation of side-loading waste and/or recycling collection vehicles.

· Be a productive team member, and contribute to team goals.

· Be committed to providing a positive customer experience.

The following is not essential but will be highly regarded:

· Possession of current traffic control tickets.

· General Construction Induction Card

· Previous experience working in bulky waste collections and/or waste management.

Benefits

This is a permanent full-time role with a salary range of $61,288 up to $68,029 per year based on demonstrated competencies + allowance + 11.5% super. Working 38 hours per week including some weekends and public holidays.
