About the role

The city is offering an exciting, fixed-term opportunity for twelve (12) months for a Development Assessment Officer to join our team. Work alongside our knowledgeable and experienced team to deliver key services to the Coffs community.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in assessing and determining a range of development applications including complex proposals and a high volume of "fast-track" proposals and have expertise to provide expert planning advice to consultants, developers, other directorates and external parties to ensure quality outcomes. If you have demonstrated knowledge of NSW Planning and Local Government Legislation and NSW Planning systems, this could be an advantage.

About you?

Requirements to be considered for the position include a relevant tertiary qualification and / or demonstrated relevant experience at an appropriate level (i.e. Town planning or related discipline), A National Construction Induction Certification (Whitecard) and a Current Class C driver's licence.

What's on offer?

  • Entry salary, $96K per annum + 11.5 % Superannuation
  • Fixed term 12-month Opportunity Full Time 35 per week

  • Options to accrue flex time and flexible working arrangements.
