Executive Assessment Officer

 

  • Salary $123,337.24 to $143,070.72 p/a + super
  • Permanent full time position – 35 hours per week
  • Work from Home (WFH) options / Flexible Working Arrangements
  • Position includes a leaseback vehicle

About the role

Reporting to the Team Leader Development Assessment, this role will see you assess and make recommendations on a variety of complex development and pre-development applications in accordance with council policies and relevant legislation.

 

Your duties will include, but are not limited to

  • Assessment of development applications reported to local and regional panels
  • Preparation of delegated assessment reports
  • Providing technical advice on planning issues to internal and external customers
  • Representing Council at the Land & Environment Court and at local and regional panel meetings
  • Providing professional guidance and mentoring to Development Assessment Officers

 

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning, Building Surveying or a related discipline
  • Substantial experience in a similar role
  • Experience in the administration of development assessment processes and sound knowledge of planning legislation
  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

 

This role will utilise your experience in developing strong working and stakeholder relationships to deliver agreed outcomes and results.
