Group Fitness Instructor

Passionate about fitness and the community? Certified in Yoga and/or Pilates?

About the role

As a Group Fitness Instructor, you’ll develop and deliver engaging workouts and group fitness sessions, ensuring excellent customer service along the way! Importantly, you have a natural ability to motivate and inspire people to reach their fitness goals and have a keen eye on new initiatives and programs to meet market trends within the fitness industry.

At our Riverton and Cannington Leisureplexes, our group fitness classes include, LesMills, Wellness classes, Aqua Aerobics, Zumba and a arrange of freestyle programs.

While we welcome all fitness specialties, we are especially keen to hear from certified Yoga and Pilates instructors!

A snapshot of your new role:

• Facilitate safe, professional, and enjoyable group fitness sessions
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages active participation
• Keep up-to-date with new fitness trends and develop programs that meet customer needs
• Ensure fitness resources are maintained and stored correctly
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants during sessions

Shifts may include weekdays and weekends from early mornings to evenings, inline with Leisureplex opening hours

Who we’re looking for

• Group fitness qualification and proven experience instructing group fitness classes (Yoga and Pilates are highly desirable)
• Certificate III or IV Fitness, highly desirable
• Current Provide First Aid Certificate
• Current Working with Children Check (if instructing children)
• Ability to engage participants, and foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages active participation
• Safety minded and able to facilitate safe and professional group fitness sessions
• Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
• Availability to work flexible hours to suit the needs of the service
