No two days are the same as the IT Support Officer, working across all Dubbo Regional Council sites. Challenge yourself in this diverse role, providing day-to-day service desk support services to users across all areas of the organisation. Test your skills and hone your triaging abilities while investigating and resolving hardware,
software, training and telecommunications related incidents. You will also be providing administrative
support to internal users of Council information technology, telecommunications equipment and facilities, supporting our ability to serve the wider community.

You'll find growth through:

  • Providing efficient and effective service desk services to the organisation
  • Preparing and producing statistical and management reports as required
  • Providing input and suggestions to the team leader on identified improvement opportunities for the efficient and effective operation of the service desk
  • Investigating and resolving operational related incidents and service requests allocated by the IT Support Team Leader
  • Performing all activities in relation to implementation, installation, setup, configuration, connection and commissioning of hardware and/or software
  • Providing asset management services in regard to all ICT equipment


What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Class C drivers license
  • Solid IT industry experience and/or TAFE Certificate of Trade or other equivalent IT industry certifications
  • Demonstrated experience in the operation, use and support of personal computer hardware, software and peripherals including application deployment
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of operating systems including Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Windows Server
  • Customer focused with the ability to understand the needs, objectives and constraints of business clients and users
  • Practical knowledge and experience in Local Area Network (LAN) management and support and associated network operating systems including Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft 365

We would also love you to have:

  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles of
    IT Service Management (ITIL)
  • Knowledge and experience in the management and
    support of server, cloud, network, storage and virtualisation infrastructure in
    a large organisation

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $71,401 to $82,981.
