The position requires a highly motivated and experienced individual, who has the ability to operate plant and equipment on the Landfill when required and to perform manual labouring tasks as needed across all areas of the Millar Road Landfill Facility, principally related to Recycling/Transfer Station operations and site management.
To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your online application:
- Highly developed skills and experience in the operation of heavy construction plant including waste compactors, track loaders, water carts, sand truck, large loaders, leachate pumping system and excavators including a working knowledge of plant maintenance practices
- Developed verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with customers
- Current and valid ‘HR’ class driver’s licence
- Relevant plant operator tickets
This position offers a gross wage of $1,749 per week which incorporates all allowances and penalty rates, and:
- 11.5% superannuation with the opportunity to co-contribute up to 5%

- Five weeks’ annual leave and two additional paid days of absence per annum
