As a Rates Officer you will part of the team that provides residents and property owners with an effective and efficient Rates system.  Committed to maintaining accurate records and providing excellent customer service, you will process account enquiries and change of ownership on a daily basis, process direct debit payments and follow up outstanding debts in compliance with the City’s debt collection process.  This role has a high engagement with the resident in our community, and also with the Valuer General’s office regarding property valuations.

To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your online application:

  1. Excellent customer service skills and experience
  2. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to convey complex valuation information to a diverse range of customers
  3. Good computer literacy in the Microsoft Office suite
  4. Demonstrated finance-related experience.
  5. Previous experience in Local Government sector will be advantageous.

We are offering a gross salary of $74,999 per annum and:

  • 11.5% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
