You'll work with a great team to:

  • Operate large and small excavators on Council's civil works projects e.g. road construction, drainage construction and preparation for concrete works.
  • Provide assistance to, or as required, act as the Works Ganger in undertaking day to day coordination of plant, labour and material resources for Council's civil works projects.
  • Operate other civil works plant and / or trucks as operational needs require.
  • Obtain and respond to client and public requests for information and assistance with works matters

What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Appropriate work related (civil assets) experience.
  • Class HR to HC Drivers Licence and plant operator competence in skidsteer/loader/excavator operations
  • General administrative skills demonstrating a competent level of literacy, numeracy and basic computer skills
  • Good customer service and verbal communication skills

We would also love you to have:

  • Previous Local Government experience.
  • Cert III or IV Civil Construction/Maintenance.
  • Proficiency in the use of GPS field technology.

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $65,812 to $76,484.
