Operations Crew Member - Construction
Permanent Full Time Opportunity
38-hour week with a 9-day fortnight! (Rostered Day Off)
Salary ranging from $60,211.84 - $69,975.88 + 11% Superannuation per annum (Depending on Experience and Qualifications)

 

About the Role

The purpose of this position is to participate in construction of Council’s roads and infrastructure. This position works across multidisciplined areas and project teams where operationally required and involves working under direct supervision, assisting in a variety of routine manual labouring and skilled tasks

The Essential Criteria

  1. Demonstrated experience in construction and/or maintenance (roads and drainage) operating of small handheld tools, equipment and machinery relevant to the field equipment.
  2. Proven ability to follow instructions within a team environment, and to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  3. Demonstrated ability in the use of computer applications, and operating devices effectively, embracing digital solutions for works activities to enable field productivity and scheduling based systems to facilitate day- to-day operations.
  4. Ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders in delivering information on operational and maintenance services.
  5. Hold and maintain C Class Drivers Licence, Traffic Control Combo (Stop Slow Bat and Implement Traffic Plans) and WHS Induction Card with a willingness to obtain within 12 months of employment; Level 1 Accredited Chainsaw course.
  6. Maintain drivers licence without restriction and ability to operate manual transmission
  7. Participate in on-call roster and overtime (where applicable)
