You'll make an impact by:

  • Developing, estimating, and
    delivering a variety of projects and programmes
  • Preparing and delivering public consultation plans in relation to projects and programmes
  • Managing the Road Maintenance Council Contract (RMCC) with Transport for NSW on Council’s behalf
  • Regularly liaising with the Senior Projects Engineer, supervisors and systems office staff to facilitate efficient and timely project decision making
  • Assisting management in providing branch input and implementing various strategic plans and documents


What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline and demonstrated sound knowledge and experience in civil engineering project/contract delivery
  • Ability to supervise and manage staff demonstrating good teamwork, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated experience in project and contract management with the ability to organise and manage conflicting work priorities
  • Well developed report writing and communication skills
  • Class C drivers licence and RMS Prepare a Work Zone Traffic Management Plan ticket (or willingness to obtain)

We would also love you to have:

  • Local Government experience
  • Post graduate qualifications
  • Experience in managing the RMCC on Council’s behalf and Transport for NSW contracts

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $93,725 to $108,924. A leaseback vehicle is also available.
