Passionate about delivering outstanding library services to our community, you will provide quality services and programs to support the development of reading and literacy, and encourage lifelong learning for children and youth.  

You have a working knowledge of child and youth development and available services as well as strong skills in using a variety of technologies across the library space. You have a high level of communication skills and demonstrate initiative, problem solving and time management skills.

You have previous experience in the field of Young People’s Services, library services or early childhood education, as well as experience in planning, promoting and implementing community programs and events.

A tertiary qualification in Librarianship and/or Early Childhood Education, along with a Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain) is essential for this role.

You must address the following selection criteria when submitting your online application:

  1. Tertiary qualification in Librarianship/and or Early Childhood Education
  2. Interest and knowledge of services to children and youth as well as child and youth development
  3. Ability to communicate and relate effectively with children, youth and their parents
  4. Knowledge of library practices, procedures and systems
  5. High level of customer service delivery

We are offering a gross salary of $80,559 per annum and: 

  • 11.5% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
  • A variety of health and wellbeing programs including a physical health reimbursement subsidy payment of up to $150 per annum, free flu vaccinations, free skin cancer checks, mental health programs and Employee Assistance Provider (EAP) services
