Join our team as Senior Resource Recovery Operations Officer and become a pivotal force in waste planning in new developments and working with the Resource Recovery Team towards the introduction of FOGO! You’ll be the key representative for waste planning and development matters, lead the assessment of waste management plans, provide expert advice to resolve technical service enquiries with the domestic waste service, and drive waste planning and contamination management quality improvement initiatives to enhance our domestic waste service performance. What this role looks like:
• Assess waste part files for new development proposals and undertake building compliance inspections.
• Ensure waste sections in local planning instruments such as DCPs remain current and valid.
• Investigate and resolve technical enquiries relating to Council’s domestic waste service.
• Assist to address contamination management with a particular focus on MUDs.
• Undertake projects identified in adopted plans such as The Hills Shire Plan.
• Provide specialist technical advice to internal and external customers.
What are we seeking in our new team member:
• Positive and engaged team member.
• Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environment or similar field.
• Demonstrated conflict resolution and customer service skills.
