Your Role as a Sport Services Officer

As a Sport Services Officer, you will be at the forefront of our mission to enhance the sporting landscape within the Sutherland Shire. This role is not just about managing bookings; it’s about building relationships, facilitating community engagement, and ensuring that our facilities meet the evolving needs of our residents.

Through effective planning and communication, you will:

  • Implement and review policies aimed at optimising sport facilities and open spaces for current and future generations.
  • Coordinate facility bookings and ensure equitable access, while maintaining a keen eye on data to inform decision-making.
  • Develop partnerships with local sporting clubs, associations, and schools, creating a collaborative environment that fosters growth and participation.
  • Administer licences and agreements, coordinate facility maintenance requests, and ensure that our venues are welcoming and well-maintained.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive individual who is passionate about sport and community engagement. Your ability to connect with various stakeholders and manage multiple tasks will be key to your success in this role.

  • Relevant qualifications in Sport, Office Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence.
  • Proven customer service skills and experience within the sport sector.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Experience using electronic booking systems and managing financial transactions.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with diverse groups.

  • Package: From $80,196 - $85,005 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
  • Hours of work: Permanent full-time position, 35 hours per week with the option of 19 day month (flex time arrangement).
