About the Role
As part of our dedication to reducing carbon emissions and transitioning towards a net-zero future, we are seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our team as a Net Zero Officer.
About You
As a confident lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving our organisation's efforts to achieve net zero targets for both Council operations and community. Collaborating closely with a multitude of stakeholders and external partners, you will develop and drive implementation of programs and initiatives aimed at reducing our carbon emissions across Ryde towards achieving our net-zero emissions goals.
In addition, you will also have
- Experience working directly within the environmental sustainability or climate change sector
- Self motivated and delivery focused, with strong project management skills
- Design and delivery of corporate and community programs to minimise emissions and risk to Council and Community.
- Ability to research and communicate, complex ideas for a variety of stakeholder groups with different levels of understanding
- Collaborate and drive outcomes of the Net Zero Pathway with cross-functional teams
- Ability to prepare reports, submissions, and briefing papers on a wide variety of technical topics.
- Research and analytical skills for developing and updating policy and development of key procedural documents.
- Current NSW Class C drivers’ licence
Your commencing annual salary will range from $83,901 to $96,179.41 + superannuation, dependent on your experience and qualifications.
