The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised individual to deliver library and customer service through the provision of programs, activities and functions for users of Council library services.

As a Library Officer, you will provide timely responses to customer enquiries whilst delivering a range of services including library resource maintenance, programs and activity delivery, user and volunteer guidance, as well as inter-branch and inter-library loans and special requests.

About You

We are seeking an individual who holds a Certificate III in Library Services (or is willing to undertake) and has a current Class C Drivers Licence.

You will have the following skills and experience;

  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of Library services, including program delivery and customer training.
  • Well-developed skills in the use and troubleshooting of computer applications and hardware.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including the ability to liaise effectively with customers.

Benefits

This is a permanent part time position working 24.5 hours per week.

The total remuneration package for this position commences at $74,730.42 gross per annum (paid pro-rata), comprising of:

  • $1,288.90* per week base salary
  • $148.22* per week superannuation (calculated at 11.5%)

*Remuneration is paid pro-rata for part time employees.
