About Us
At Sutherland Shire Council, we are dedicated to providing exceptional waste services that enhance the quality of life for our residents and protect our natural environment. Our Waste Services division focuses on domestic waste collection and cleansing services, aiming to minimise environmental impacts through education and resource recovery initiatives.
As a leader in our community, the Marketing, Communications, and Engagement Lead will inspire change and awareness around waste management practises. This role is vital in developing strategies that resonate with our residents, encouraging participation in programs that reduce waste and promote sustainability.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping and executing a comprehensive plan for the Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) collection service and Community Recycling Centre (CRC). This position involves managing a dedicated team and resources to ensure the effective delivery of waste minimisation programs while continuously engaging with the community to drive participation and awareness.
Your expertise will be vital in understanding community needs, conducting research, and providing valuable insights to support the Waste Services team's objectives.

- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

- Package: $110,600 - $119,500 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
- Hours of work: Temporary (up to 4 years) full-time role 35 hours per week with 19-day flexitime option
