Gilgandra Shire Council is seeking a Support Worker to join the Growth & Liveability team!
- Permanent full time 35 hours per week
- Weekly pay cycle
- Salary range $1258.62 - $1510.30
ABOUT THE ROLE
To assist in the day to day operations of the Gilgandra Youth and Recreation Services and provide support for families, young people, people at risk and people experiencing homelessness.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023.

ABOUT YOU
Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications:
- Previous experience with Trauma and crisis client service delivery
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Sound experience with computers, including Microsoft Office package and internet
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to political, cultural and other issues
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised
- Ability to display empathy with families
- Experience and/or qualification in Community Services Case Management and/or related discipline with specific relevance to youth and family work
- Empathy and Case Management experience
- Case Management data base administration skills
- Current drivers license
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to WHS
- Current First Aid certificate.
- Working with Children Check.
- National Police Certificate.
- Understanding of the Going Home Staying Home guidelines.
