Senior Project Manager

 

  • Salary $106,323.88 to $123,335.16 p/a + super
  • Permanent full time position – 35 hours per week
  • Position includes a leaseback vehicle

About the role

Reporting to the Coordinator Project Delivery, this role will see you provide a high level of professional and technical support in delivering a complex and wide-ranging portfolio of Council projects.

 

Your duties will include, but are not limited to

  • Provide a high level of professional and technical support in delivering Council’s capital works program
  • Manage the delivery of a complex and wide-ranging portfolio of projects, including project initiation, development, construction, contracts supervision and administration to the agreed time, cost and quality
  • Develop project briefs, specifications and tender documents
  • Prepare preliminary budgets and pre-construction estimates for projects
  • Develop and monitor allocated capital works programs
  • Ensure project work complies with environmental legislation, Council’s Environmental Management System Policy, Development Control Policy and Corporate Standards and Procedures on Environmental Management practices

 

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Construction Management or equivalent
  • Class C Drivers Licence
  • Construction white card
  • Extensive experience in project management of a portfolio of multi-disciplinary projects
  • Experience in contract administration and supervision
  • Experience in the management of project finances and budgets, business planning, tendering and contract administration
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computer applications, in particular the Microsoft suite of products (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMS and PowerPoint) and the ability to learn new software

 

This role will utilise your experience in developing strong working and stakeholder relationships to deliver agreed outcomes and results.
