Title: Driver, Litterbin Services, Permanent - Full-time Role, 38 hours per week

Salary Range: $67153.79 to $78043.57 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

Northern Beaches Council is currently implementing its new Waste and Circular Economy Strategy which includes a broad spectrum of waste management services and projects including domestic waste collection, community facilities development, events, education and workshops. Waste Services is also actively involved in the review of development applications to ensure we are building new residential developments for future sustainability.

Our opportunity:
The key focus areas of this role include: 

1. Efficient and safe delivery of waste removal services for the community including:

  • driving and operating waste collection, bin maintenance and delivery vehicles, 
  • installation, emptying, maintenance and cleaning of public place bins and associated infrastructure,
  • working either alone or as part of an operational team

2. Timely and accurate reporting to the Supervisor and Coordinator, Litterbin Services.

3. Removal of illegally dumped waste from public places to improve the streetscape and minimise environmental impact.

4. To perform all duties to best practice principles in keeping with Council’s commitment to excellent customer service and demonstrating Council values on all levels.

We’re looking for an organised and proactive team player to join our Public Waste & Cleansing Team. You’ll bring strong hands-on experiences and communications skills to a team passionate about making a difference to our community.
