Description
We’re looking for a diligent, organised, and creative professional with a passion for community events. The successful candidate will help coordinate Council’s citizenship ceremonies and civic event program, while liaising with community event organisers hoping to use Council’s venues. The role will require you to build and maintain strong relationships with multiple teams across the organisation, have a thorough knowledge of relevant legislation, procedures and policies while contributing ideas and assisting the events team in delivering Council’s program of events.
Duties include:
- Ensure community event hirers comply with all required legislation, permits, policies and risk procedures when using Council venues.
- Liaise with required authority bodies ensure they are aware of event requirements within the Hills Shire.
- Coordinate citizenship ceremonies and civic events.
- Maintain relationships and engage with key community stakeholders.
- Represent council at community and other forums.
Who we are seeking as our newest team member:
A positive and engaged leader who has at least 3 years demonstrated experience in a similar role as well as:
- Event Management Qualification or relevant experience
- Drivers Licence (Class C) NSW

This temporary role is being offered on a part-time basis, working on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday weekly, totalling 21 hours per week.
Salary of $45.74 per hour (paid weekly) + Superannuation + opportunity for Performance Bonus (up to 2% annual salary) and Organisational Bonus (up to $2K), learning & development opportunities, Waves Fitness & Aquatics Centre membership discounts, active Social Club, free undercover parking, and onsite café.
