Do you have a passion for providing operational and strategic HR advice? Council is seeking a suitably qualified HR professional to join the HR & Wellbeing team in the role of HR & Wellbeing Business Partner. The successful candidate will influence and negotiate with their stakeholders to implement effective HR, WHS and wellbeing policies and practices that support effective business performance.

The role of our HR & Wellbeing Business Partner includes:
- Partner with the business to implement HR strategies and processed that focus on succession planning, retention and workforce development according to the needs of the business
- Contribute to the creation, development and review of HR policies and processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide advice and interpretation of Awards, relevant legislation and HR policies/procedures relevant on operational HR matters.
- Manage the recruitment process for relevant business units in a timely manner and as per the Recruitment Policy and relevant procedures.
- Coach managers on the implementation of performance and talent management processes as per Council’s policies and procedures.
- Act as a trusted Advisor on employee relations issues. This consists of providing expert advice, managing and resolving complex employee relations issues, such as misconduct, grievances and any other related issues in the workplace.
What we are seeking in our new team member:
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Greater than 3 years’ of experience in a Human Resource Business Partner role or similar
- Strong knowledge of Local Government (State) Award and other relevant legislation
- Demonstrated experience in partnering with people leaders and providing operational HR advice on a range of matters.
