Council are seeking an enthusiastic team player who has a high level of detail for reporting as well as strong written & communication skills. You will have a willingness to learn as well as an understanding of the water industry.
The role will involve the monitoring and reporting of water metering systems, communicating with internal and external customers regarding water usage trends as well as working with operational teams to coordinate metering asset repairs.
The Water Systems Officer is responsible for:
- Provision of specialist technical support in relation to inspection, monitoring, programming and quality control of Council’s automated water metering system
- Preparation, review and implementation of work systems, work practices and work procedures relating to Council’s water systems
- Implementation and administration of Council’s automated water metering system including bulk water metering assets
- Monitor and control budget income and expenditure, provide information and estimates to the Senior Distribution Engineer and Divisional Manager to support the preparation of budgets, and promptly address any variation from budget.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED
- NSW Drivers Licence
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Water Industry, Financial Systems or similar
- Willingness to undergo immunisations ( Hepatitis A & B and Q fever)

Salary range: Grade 13 - $77,339.08 - $83,694.43 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation for a 35 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.
Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
