Location: Tamworth NSW
THE OPPORTUNITY
- Delivering a service to customers/Event Organisers
- Operating and maintaining a range of equipment e.g specialist mowers, forklift, tractor with multiple varying implements, trucks, water carts etc
- Maintenance of property, buildings, structures, grounds and association infrastructure

Do you have experience in operating a range of equipment or machinery and knowledge about livestock? Are you able to interact confidently with Event Organisers and Customers as well as work in a fast paced environment? This could be the role for you!
Council are seeking a team player with a good work ethic. You will have an understanding of stock handling and stock behaviour as well as having the ability to communicate well and work autonomously.
The Specialist Operator AELEC is responsible for:
- Operating and maintaining mobile and fixed plant for horticulture and building maintenance
- Operating and maintaining a range of equipment eg. Specialist mowers, backhoe and front end loaders, forklift, tractor with multiple and varying implements, trucks, water carts.
- Controlling traffic around the worksite
- Stock handling skill and knowledge and understanding of stock behaviour
- Maintenance of property, buildings, structures, grounds and associated infrastructure; including buildings, yards and fencing, lawns and gardens including irrigation, plumbing and electrical
- Delivering a service to customers
- Monitoring and maintaining a safe workplace
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED
- Certificate III in Civil Construction, Horticulture, Plant or Similar OR significant relevant experience in functions associated with this position
- NSW Manual Drivers Licence
- Immunisations for Hepatitis, Tetanus and Q Fever (willingness to undergo)
- WHS Construction Induction
- Medium Rigid Driver Licence
- Forklift Licence

Commencement Date will be in early December 2024.
Salary range: Grade 8 - $1,155.40 - $1,250.20 per week plus additional penalty rates for weekend work and 11.5% superannuation for a 38 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.
Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
