Area Ranger
- Salary $79,014.00 - $91,655.72 p/a + super
- Permanent full time role, 38 hours per week (rostered day off)
- Working on a rotational roster basis which includes weekend work and emergency call out
- Beautiful Ku-ring-gai Location
Located 16 kms north of the Sydney CBD, the Ku-ring-gai area covers 84km2, is home to 124,000 residents and is set in one of New South Wales most attractive natural environments.
Reporting to the Senior Area Ranger, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Carry out patrols of Ku-ring-gai environment to ensure compliance with unauthorised events, animal management, illegal dumping, noise control, littering, land use, tree protection, load limited roads, construction sites and biosecurity weeds
- Ensure that quality customer service standards are maintained and that duties are carried out in an efficient, effective and courteous manner
- Take appropriate action in accordance with your delegation, Council policies, relevant Acts and legislation
- Issue Notices, Orders, Certificates and correspondence from investigations and substantiated complaints in accordance with Legislative and Policy guidelines
- Investigate complaints, issue of warnings/cautions, penalty notices, for detected offences
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Completion of Certificate IV Local Government Governance and Administration or similar
- NSW Drivers Licence Class C
- Current NSW WorkCover White card or eligible to independently obtain NSW Work Cover White Card
- Commitment to excellent customer service
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
