As a Tourism Marketing Officer, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth and success of the Narrabri Shire, working closely with the community and local businesses to promote our region to the world.

About the Role

In this role, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the Council's Visitor Information Centre, providing excellent customer service and accurate information to all visitors. You will represent the Council and local tourism operators in promotional activities, such as media engagements, expos, and trade shows.

Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating and assisting with the development, design, production, and distribution of all tourism marketing and promotional materials. This includes updating and maintaining our web pages and e-tourism platforms, as well as managing our social media presence.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the maintenance of the Narrabri Shire's corporate image.

About You

We are seeking a passionate and driven individual with a strong background in tourism marketing and administration. The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Business Administration/Tourism or equivalent, along with experience in an administrative role.

  • Experience in market research and preparation of marketing campaigns
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills

What We Offer

The salary on offer for this position is $71,890.60 - $79,550.27 based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
