Description
This casual role will give you the opportunity to work in a variety of different operational roles within the Blue Mountains City Council’s Resource Recovery & Waste Services. This will include being supported to develop skills and experience in kerbside waste collection (rear loaders and side arm compactors), and Resource Recovery Facilities (gatehouse operation, small vehicle area customer service, landfill and transfer station operations).
Council is looking for candidates that show enthusiasm for their work, a commitment to providing professional customer service and enjoy contributing to a team. You will be keen to learn a range of skills and take pride in carrying out your duties safely and to a high standard. You need a Class C driver’s license and be willing to undertake further training to achieve a heavy rigid licence and various heavy machine tickets.
Remuneration: base salary commencing at $32.65 gross per hour
+ 25% casual loading
+ adverse working conditions of $2,590 gross per annum
+ 11.5% superannuation
+ performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary
+ annual award increase
