This position is classified as a PACS Band 3 ($66,067 – $69,784 p.a) under the City of Kwinana’s structured remuneration system.

What’s On Offer

A fantastic opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Horticulturalist who is passionate about working outdoors. As a Horticulturalist, you will be responsible in undertaking best practice horticulture and landscape establishment and maintenance for City of Kwinana parks and streetscapes.

What You’ll Need

  • Demonstrated practical experience with parks and garden maintenance and landscape development tasks; and knowledge of amenity planting and common weed species.
  • The ability to safely prepare and apply herbicides.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with an operational team working in public spaces; and address public queries as required.
  • The ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and report on work outputs as required.
  • Cert III in Horticulture, or other relevant tertiary qualifications or experience.
  • Current MR Class Licence, Basic Worksite Traffic Management Certificate, Safety Awareness Training – White Card, First Aid Certificate.
  • Accreditation in herbicide application desirable.
