What’s On Offer
An exciting opportunity exists for two Parks Operator’s to join the Parks Maintenance team at the City of Kwinana (City’s Operations). Reporting to the Supervisor Parks, you will be responsible for undertaking high quality maintenance of parks, reserves and streetscapes, in accordance with the City’s parks and maintenance standard. This position will also operate a variety of plant equipment such as ride-on mowers, bushcutters, edgers etc and tractor as required.

In addition, you will provide a high quality of customer service at all times and will regularly interact with other City Operations Team.

What You’ll Need

To be successful in this role, you must have the following:

  • Relevant experience in horticulture and / or turf maintenance.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in the use and maintenance of mowers, tractor and minor plant.
  • Demonstrated understanding, knowledge and the ability to effectively follow Workplace Health & Safety procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide the highest quality of customer service to the public when responding to queries.
  • Current MR class driver's licence, Safety Awareness Training - White Card, Basic Worksite Traffic Management, Provide First Aid
  • Knowledge of Herbicide Application and Chainsaw Certificate - Desirable
