Early Childhood Services Assistant Educator

1 x Temporary 6 months Full Time and 1x Permanent 15hrs per week Part Time

Must be able to work 7-10am or 3-6pm

Salary range: $28.32 to $30.76 per hour + Super

ABOUT THE ROLE

Liverpool City Council is seeking passionate and dedicated, Certificate 111 Trained Early Childhood Educators to join our talented and committed team, assisting with the design, implementation and evaluation of high-quality inquiry based educational curriculums for children attending our services.

Liverpool City Council owns and operates six Early Education and Care Centres and two Preschools across our LGA.

Please note:

The fulltime applicant will need to be able to work a range of shifts from 7am – 6pm.

The part time educator will need to be able to work either 7-10 or 3-6pm.

What does the right candidate need to possess?

As an Assistant Educator, you will work alongside an experienced Early Childhood Teacher and passionate educating team to assist in the development of a curriculum and learning environment. We are seeking educators who:

  • Have a zest for working collaboratively to create curriculums, rituals, rhythms, and practices which allow children to learn through enquiry and investigation.
  • Possess a love for quality resources, loose parts, and materials, allowing you to create inspiring provocations and exceptional learning environments.
  • Enjoy developing nurturing, respectful relationships with children.
  • Hold a Certificate 111 and have child protection training approved and recognised by ACECQA. A first aid certificate is also essential. In addition,
  • Have a detailed knowledge of child development, contemporary theories/approaches to early childhood education and care and a thorough understanding of Early Childhood Regulations.
