The role
Kickstart your greenkeeping career with CBCity! We’re looking for two Greenkeeper (Sports Turf Management) Apprentices to join our team and be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of Council's high profile turf wickets, ovals and sports fields.
This hands-on role combines practical on-the-job training with one day per week at TAFE, where you’ll gain the skills and qualifications to thrive. You’ll assist in maintaining sportsfields and related areas, ensuring they meet service agreements and schedules. This includes inspecting conditions, providing recommendations, addressing minor issues, and conducting risk assessments. You'll operate equipment, participate in training, and work flexibly, including weekends and public holidays. Additionally, you'll support the team with various duties as required.

You will have
- NSW Record of School Achievement (RoSA)
- Current Provisional or Unrestricted C Class Drivers Licence
- Demonstrated ability to undertake formal study of sports turf management.
The salary range for this opportunity commences at $35,729 (T3 at 17 years of age) or $41,771 (T4 at 18 years or completed HSC) + 11.5% super.
