About the role
This is a full-time position working 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) at the Nowra Administration Building.

This role is responsible for providing efficient and effective secretarial and administrative support to facilitate a high standard of customer service.

Duties
Reporting directly to the Manager Technical Services, the focus of this position is to:

  • Triage incoming calls and correspondence, responding where possible and monitoring overdue correspondence
  • Arrange meetings/ appointments/ events, developing agendas, minute taking and provision of required resources, including catering where appropriate
  • Develop purchase orders and invoice matching within Council’s financial system, to ensure prompt payment for goods and services
  • Research and analyse information as requested by the Technical Services department
  • Support the Technical Services department to ensure the maintenance of high standards of customer service to internal/ external customers and clients

Skills & Experience
To be successful in the position, you will possess:

  • Extensive experience in providing secretarial and administrative support to a large team.
  • Extensive experience in coordinating the administrative workflows of a large team to support the achievement of deadlines and a high standard of customer service.
  • Certificate IV in Office Administration/Secretarial Studies or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience providing administrative support to senior management
  • Demonstrated ability in project/event coordination
  • Class C Driver’s Licence
  • Proof of Australian residency or citizenship
