An opportunity exists for a motivated individual to join our Capital Works Team. In these roles you will manage the delivery phase (procurement and construction) of landscape and sports field projects as identified in the Capital Works program. You will be responsible for all aspects of project management and planning to ensure that the required project timeframes, construction quality and budgetary constraints are met.

What this role looks like:

  • Liaise with Asset Planning Staff regarding the planning and design of projects to ensure effective delivery of community needs
  • Prepare quotation and tender package
  • Oversee procurement processes including calling for quotation/tender submissions, requests for information (RFI’s) and engagement
  • Evaluate quotation/tender submissions and make recommendations to award contracts
  • Program, manage and coordinate the delivery of projects
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors on site and coordinate consultants and inspections as required
  • Administer contracts and control all incoming and outgoing project documentation.
  • Provide regular project delivery progress reports and updates, especially with regard to financial status, completion date and stakeholder management.
  • Scale and complexity of the projects you will be managing varies between the senior and non-senior roles

What we are seeking in our new team member:

  1. Drivers Licence (Class C) – NSW
  2. White Card - General Construction Induction
  3. Degree/Diploma in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design or Landscape Construction.
  4. Degree/Diploma in, Project Management or Construction Management (Desirable)

Senior Capital Works Project Officer salary: Stating from $114K per annum + Superannuation + Council Leaseback/Car Allowance

Capital Works Project Officer salary: Starting from $104K per annum + Superannuation + Council Leaseback/ Car Allowance
