Traineeship Early Childhood Education and Care – Diploma

Are you passionate about Child Care and looking to kick-start your career? We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee in Early Childhood and Care – Diploma commencing February 2025 and we want you to join our team.

Based in Jerilderie at the Jerilderie Early Learning Centre, you will work alongside our Room Leaders and Centre Manager developing your skills while working towards a nationally recognised Diploma qualification in Childhood Education and Care.

Under the mentorship of the Centre Manager, and in collaboration with other experienced Childcare workers, you will learn and develop valuable skills in areas such as:

• Support children in their learning through developing and maintaining nurturing
• Guide and encourage children to undertake a variety of developmentally appropriate activities
• Provide physical care, assisting children in toileting, dressing and meal times
• Respond to the emotional needs of children
• Assist in the observation and evaluation of the children’s development

The successful candidate

A key requirement for this opportunity is your commitment and motivation to complete your traineeship over a three year fixed term. This includes theoretical blocks of training, most likely in Finley or Wagga Wagga.

Looking to start your career in Early Childhood or already have completed a Cert III – Children’s Services we encourage you to apply.
