About the role
This is an interesting and diverse role where you will be providing confidential, professional and efficient administrative support to the Works Department (Civil Works, Water & Wastewater and Assets, Facilities and Fleet) in its delivery to the various Works services.
About you
You are an experienced administration professional, preferably with a background in providing administrative support and delivering exceptional customer service within a Local Government setting.
With outstanding organisational and time management skills, you excel at managing tasks independently, including scheduling appointments, maintaining electronic calendars, and coordinating meetings.
Your strong communication skills enable you to build and maintain collaborative relationships within the team and across the broader organisation.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Carry out general administrative functions relevant to the work area which are compliant with Council’s policies and procedures, such as:
- Action customer service requests and respond to enquiries via phone, face to face or correspondence as required
- Co-ordinate appointments, meetings and maintain electronic calendars
- Reconcile corporate credit cards and create/ process purchase orders in line with the Section’s purchasing requirements
- Assist with the compilation of Section reports including research and collation of data required for content
- Such other relevant duties as required from time to time which would generally fall within the scope of this position
