About the Opportunity

Cabonne Council has an exciting opportunity to enter an administration traineeship, gaining a qualification and valuable work experience where you will develop transferrable work skills and knowledge.

Commencing in January 2025, this position is based in Molong working in our Governance team.

The purpose of the position is to provide accurate and timely administrative support whilst completing a Certificate III in Business Administration. This position is for 12 months, with no guarantee of a permanent position after this time.

Our work teams are led by a supportive and proactive leadership team. You will be provided support and training in line with Council's values to learn the role and ensure our workers are resilient, adaptive and are able to perform to Council and community expectations.

These positions are 12-month temporary positions, operating over a 35-hour week with a 9-day fortnight. Please refer to the attached position descriptions for further detail about the jobs.

What Do You Need to Be Successful?

Desirable

  • Class C driver's licence (or Provisional licence)

Skills & Experience Administration Traineeship

  • Previous experience in customer service and administration desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to project & promote a positive image of Council.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to resolve conflict.
  • Ability to multi-task with phone calls while processing and managing your workload.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

      • Employment is under the Local Government (State) Award 2023 and relevant salary grading will apply based on age and level of schooling achieved.
