Location:  Tamworth, NSW

THE OPPORTUNITY

  • Collaborate across the organisation to provide grant funding coordination, expertise and support
  • Assist in the activation of the Tamworth Tomorrow Economic Development Strategy
  • Working closely with project managers to facilitate project planning, research, and stakeholder engagement to ensure the delivery of high quality, well considered applications
  • Provide directorate reporting regarding core strategic outcomes as outlined in strategic and operational business plans including Blueprint100

The Grants and Partnerships Support Officer is responsible for:

Contributing to the Economic Activation and Analysis business unit of Tamworth Regional Council to facilitate the growth of economic development in the Local Government Area.

  • Providing specialist advice, guidance and support of Council's grant application preparations and partnership developments; requiring the coordination of resources from more than one division as the need arises and provide support across Council as directed.
  • Identifying, researching, and informing business units of external funding opportunities aligned to the Council’s delivery program and other relevant Council strategies and plans.
  • Working closely with project managers to facilitate project planning, research, and stakeholder engagement to ensure the delivery of high quality, well considered applications.
  • Delivering complex, non-standard grant submissions in alignment with Council’s operational and strategic plans and research future funding opportunities. This will necessitate close co-ordination with internal divisions across the organisation.
  • Developing, maintaining, and continuously improving systems and processes to ensure appropriate administration of successful grant projects is undertaken, including reporting, financial and acquittal procedures.
  • Continually updating understanding of key community issues to build into grant strategy, and support community capacity with grant seeking capabilities.
  • Providing support for community groups submitting grant applications for projects that will have a positive impact and benefit for the community.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant practical experience in grant management and / or project management, business, communications, economic development
  • NSW Drivers Licence

Salary range: Grade 15 - $86,308.58 - $93,394.43 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation for a 35 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.

Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
