About the Role

Are you ready to make a meaningful difference in a community recovering and rebuilding after recent floods? As our Community Resilience Officer (CRO), you’ll play a crucial role in empowering and strengthening our community. Working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, you will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of recovery programmes tailored to community needs.
  • Build cooperative networks with government agencies, non-government agencies, and local groups.
  • Support committees and working groups that drive recovery and resilience initiatives.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and enhance the effectiveness of local recovery programmes.
  • Contribute to disaster management operations alongside the Local Emergency Management Committee (LEMC) and Local Emergency Management Officer (LEMO).

Your leadership will help our community emerge stronger, more connected, and better prepared for the future.

About You

We’re looking for someone passionate about creating positive change, with a mix of practical skills and personal qualities to succeed in this important role. You’ll bring:

  • A solid understanding of community development and disaster recovery principles.
  • Proven experience in planning and project management, with a results-driven approach.
  • Advanced analytical and communication skills, enabling you to gather insights and deliver compelling reports and presentations.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to foster and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent organisational skills to manage competing priorities effectively.

Your ability to work both independently and as part of a dedicated team will make you a valuable asset to our organisation.
