Events and Activations Assistant (temporary)

We have a great opportunity for a passionate events assistant to provide support across the team in administration, logistics, planning, coordination and delivery of events, activations and arts across our Shellharbour city.  You will assist in engaging our local community and promote Shellharbour's community and civic centre events. 

Key responsibilities and tasks include (not limited to):

  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of Council and community events; such as ANZAC Day, Reconciliation Walk, Cities Service Boston, NAIDOC Regional Awards, NAIDOC Community Day and many more exciting events
  • Assist with Shellharbour Civic Centre booking enquiries, room setups, promotions and marketing 
  • Working alongside our Arts and Culture team assisting in the delivery of relevant programs and Imaginarium bookings
  • Providing friendly and prompt customer service 
  • Undertaking manual handling tasks as required in support of events such as moving of temporary event infrastructure, placement of signage, placement and building of marquees and other tasks as requested
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends to support these events and external bookings as required

  • Temporary full time up to 30 June 2025, 35 hours per week with a requirement to work weekend and evening shifts
