We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and skilled 2IC (internally this position is known as Operations Leader) to join our team at Hurstville Golf Course. This pivotal role involves overseeing the day-to-day maintenance and management of the course grounds and facilities, ensuring top-tier turf care, landscaping, and equipment maintenance.

 

About The Opportunity

  • Permanent, Full-Time – 72 hours per fortnight
  • Enjoy a 4-day work week
  • Hourly rate between $36.40 and $42.17 + superannuation, based on your experience
  • Opportunities to significantly boost your earnings with weekend overtime
    • Saturday overtime: from $54.60/hour for the first 2 hours and from $72.80/hour for all hours after
    • Sunday overtime: from $72.80/hour 
    • 4 hours overtime on both Saturday and Sunday
    • Public holiday overtime shifts available

This is a fantastic opportunity to earn a competitive base salary, plus substantial overtime earnings. With penalty rates for both Saturday and Sunday overtime, you can boost your income significantly and enjoy the flexibility of a 4-day work week.

What We're Looking for

  • Certificate III in Sports Turf Management, or related field.
  • Construction Induction (White Card)
  • Proven experience in golf course maintenance and turf care.
  • Strong knowledge of turfgrass species, irrigation systems, and landscaping techniques.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining groundskeeping equipment.

 

Other Desirable Attributes 

  • Drivers Licence
  • First Aid Certificate 
  • AQF3 ChemCert accreditation 
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations.
