  • 35 hours per week, fortnightly RDO
  • Potential to work from home 2 days per week

About the role

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Administration Officer to join our Traffic & Transport team located at Woollahra Council Chambers in Double Bay opposite the iconic Redleaf Beach.

Reporting to the Team Leader Traffic & Transport, you will provide specialist administrative support to the team with regards to Parking Meters, Works Zone and Roads Act requests and approvals.

About you

In order to be successful in this role, you will have excellent communication and customer service skills to ensure all customer queries are responded to in a timely and accurate manner. You will be confident in juggling a range of tasks including but not limited to document control management using Council’s systems such as HPE Content Manager, coordination of Traffic Committee agendas, preparation of accurate reports and administration of public consultations.

Essential Criteria

  • Previous administrative experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service
  • Demonstrated experience with Windows-based computer applications including Word, Excel and database software
  • Demonstrated high level written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated organisational and coordination skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated understanding of EEO and WHS principles
  • Ability to demonstrate a commitment to Council’s values

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in Local Government or similar environment
  • Qualifications in Business Administration and/or Office Management
  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence
