Cobar Shire Council is seeking an enthusiastic individual to undertake a 12-month traineeship. You will be supported to complete a Certificate IV Business Administration via online learning with a registered training organisation.

To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to be a confident communicator, with sound computer literacy, and strong attention to detail, who can build and maintain positive working relationships with team members. No previous administration experience required, just the right attitude and the ability to learn!!

In this position you will learn all aspects of administrative including customer service, clerical duties, word processing, data entry, taking and recording minutes, document control, website maintenance, and records management.

Employment with Council is in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award. This full-time, fixed term position is classified as Operational Band 1 with wages ($22.11-$25.30/hr) dependent on the age, educational qualifications and experience of the candidate, working a 9-day fortnight, 35 hours a week.
