Description
The Package: $1,331.02 - $1,470.74 gross per week + 11.5% super. (Evaluated as Grade 8 of the QPRC Salary System 2024) and a guaranteed increase of 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.
Full-time – 38 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements may apply. Regular weekend work is required.

In this role you will:
- Provide a high level of love and care to the animals housed in Council’s Animal Management Facility.
- Ensure and uphold the cleanliness of the facilities to support health and infection control standards.
- Conduct obedience training and exercise programs for the animals.
- Identify health issues, injuries, or illnesses in animals and treat or medicate as needed.
We are looking for someone who:
- Possesses a qualification in Companion Animal Studies and/or similar.
- Has experience in small and large animal handling.
- Possesses the knowledge to recognise animal health and behavioural issues.
- Capacity to deliver a high level of customer service.
