Council is seeking applications from enthusiastic motivated individuals for the following position.

APPRENTICE WELDER / BOILERMAKER – Re-Advertised (Full Time Term appointment – 4 Years)

The Apprentice Welder / Boilermaker role offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational skills and gain hands-on experience in the Welding and Boilermaking trade. This Apprenticeship will run for a period of four (4) years, and will include on-the-job training, coaching and mentoring from experienced professionals. At the end of the Apprenticeship program you will attain a nationally recognised vocational qualification. 

This entry-level, Pathways 2680 apprenticeship is open to individuals of all backgrounds, not just recent school leavers, and is ideal for someone who is highly motivated, eager to learn, and enthusiastic about gaining on-the-job experience. As an apprentice, you will work toward a nationally accredited qualification while acquiring practical knowledge and skills that will set you up for success in the industry.

Skills & Knowledge: The successful applicant will require basic mathematical skills.

Hours of work: 38 hours per week. Nine (9) day fortnight.

Salary and conditions: Commencement weekly salary range $803.30 per week plus Superannuation. Remuneration offered will be in accordance with clause 32C wage rates of the Local Government (State) Award 2023.
