About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Asset Management Analyst to support the strategic management of Canning’s diverse infrastructure and facility assets. Working collaboratively with stakeholders, you will drive asset performance, improve lifecycle management, and foster robust long-term planning and investment decisions.

Importantly, the role plays a key role in business improvement initiatives and implementation activities related to the City's Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software.

Reporting to the Coordinator Asset Management, this is a permanent full-time position in a thriving local council – if you’re ready for challenge, we’d love to hear from you!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and support business improvement activities related to the City's EAM software
  • Develop and drive robust asset management practices, ensuring effective lifecycle management
  • Analyse large data sets to uncover valuable business insights and provide detailed reports and visualisations to support data-driven decision-making
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to gather feedback, map processes and deliver system and process improvements
  • Improve processes for data collection, identifying data sources and developing integrated data systems
  • Ensure integrity of asset data, through thorough maintenance the City’s asset register
  • Monitor asset performance to mitigate risk and support asset renewal, upgrade, and maintenance strategies

Who we’re looking for:

You will have a keen eye for detail, a strong analytical mindset, and a collaborative approach to problem solving and process improvement.  Essentially:

  • Proven experience working with data models, data mining, ETL and creating data visualisations
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to problem solve, interpret data and generate meaningful insights
  • Strong computer literacy and ideally, proficiency in asset management systems and advanced skills in Excel or data tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into workable solutions, and to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • An understanding of asset management principals, methodologies and lifecycle management
  • Ideally, qualifications in Asset Management, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field
