Part-time (32 hours per week, working Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 8am – 4.30pm)

Days and hours are non-negotiable

The Building Administration Officer’s primary function is to provide administration and clerical support Building Services Team, which can include but not limited to supporting the building applications and approvals, residential design code variations, and caravan park applications. You will provide information and advice to the community, developers, builders, applicants, Government agencies and other customers of the Building Services Team.

You have previous experience in either an administrative or secretarial role, and have well developed general administrative skills. Previous experience in the building industry or local government is desirable but not essential. You have above average skills in the Microsoft Office suite and, if you haven’t already worked with HPECM and/or Authority, you are a quick learner and adept at acquiring new IT skills). You have a solid background in customer service.

To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your online application:

  • Sound written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of time management and organisational skills
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products (particularly Excel and Word)
  • Sound knowledge of Council’s function and organisational structure

This position offers a gross salary of $72,258 per annum (pro-rata), and:

  • 11.5% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
