- From $82,390 to $102,480 pa plus super, plus vehicle allowance and plus market allowance; 35 hours per week

What You’ll Be Working On
Your day to day will involve investigating customer requests regarding building compliance and take appropriate action in accordance with Council’s Compliance and Enforcement Policy including issuing Notices, Orders and Directions under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, Local Government Act 1993 and Swimming Pools Act 1992.
You will have the opportunity to work on fire safety matters, awning safety program and general building compliance matters.
You will also assist in the consideration and assessment of development applications by providing building advice (including Building Code of Australia assessment) to other staff and the public
What You’ll Bring to the Role
To be successful in this role you will hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline regarding building certification and/or proven experience in a relevant field of building compliance and regulatory action.
You will have an understanding of Part 6 certificates, fire upgrading assessment and regulatory enforcement, and will be committed to customer service with excellent communication skills.
In addition to the above, you will also hold a Current Class C driver’s licence.
This position is subject to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check undertaken by Council.
