The Position
The Business Analyst will collaborate with Information Services and other Council departments to support the business by offering solutions that address their information needs from a broad and long-term perspective. They will also provide a comprehensive view of all Council business systems, data, and technology in order to manage, scope, and define deliverables within predetermined timeframes.
Key Accountabilities
- Processes are highly automated allowing people to add value and improve the customer experience
- Revised processes match the culture that uses them which increases their adoption and effectiveness
- Managers and users have confidence that proposed solutions are high quality and meet or exceed their needs
- Managers and users are informed about progress and delivery of their solutions
- Users get the training to develop competence with new solutions
About You
You will possess a degree in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, or you will have at least five years of experience in a comparable position. You possess a high degree of analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to be creative.
You are capable of working independently under general supervision, managing your time well, comprehending priorities and deadlines, and working as a team to accomplish a successful outcome. You have also demonstrated the ability to think creatively and solve problems and create new solutions.
Additionally, you have a proven track record of excellent interpersonal communication, knowledge sharing, training, and presenting skills, including the capacity to interact with audiences of all skill levels.
