About the role
Bathurst Regional Council is currently seeking a personable, technically proficient and suitably qualified Business Analyst to join the Information Services team. You will be assisting the Senior Business Analyst in supporting all of Council’s software packages and managing the availability of corporate data.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of committed individuals who are seeking to implement the latest technology and practices to support a growing city in this very exciting era of technological change and disruption. Working within this team you will be supporting staff at Bathurst Regional Council in their technological needs. You will have had experience in a similar role, supporting software in a Microsoft SQL environment as well as cloud hosted software.
You will have had experience extracting data to meet end user requirements and you will be able to assist users with applications such as Microsoft Office 365, Micro Focus Content Manager and Civica Authority.
There is a requirement to participate in an on-call roster for this position.
Key Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant area
- Experience in using Microsoft SQL including managing databases and writing queries
- Experience in a Windows server environment
- Experience producing reports using tools such as Crystal Reports
- Ability to work in a small team
- Current Class C Driver's Licence
- Current satisfactory National Police Check to be able to utilise the CCTV software

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug and alcohol screen.
Salary: $1,411.08 to $1,482.51 per week + superannuation + on-call allowance
Position Status: Permanent Full Time
Hours of work: 35 hours per week with an RDO every third week
