About the Role
Wollondilly Shire Council in partnership with the NSW Government have an exciting opportunity for a Cadet Building Surveyor to join the team.
Reporting to the Principal Building Surveyor, the cadetship offers the chance to gain valuable on-the-job experience while undertaking your studies in building surveying. The successful candidate will assist in the assessment of development applications, construction certificates and complying development certificates in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, Building Code of Australia and other relevant legislation.
- Enrolled in second or final year of study in a Graduate Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Building Surveying or equivalent.
- Class C Drivers Licence.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated time management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Possess administrative and organisational skills, including attention to detail, ability to maintain accurate records and skills in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
